How Lil’ Shopper’s Shop Works

What you do now…

  • Select the days you want to run. Programs run mid week, during school hours. An average school of 400 students will typically run Monday to Wednesday or Tuesday to Thursday, with merchandise pickup on Friday.
  • Confirm your sale dates to Lil’ Shoppers Shop. There is no money due at this time. Your invoice is due at the conclusion of your shop, after you have collected your payments for gifts.
  • Lil’ Shoppers Shop will project your gift needs based on your schools past history or the demographics of your school and it’s enrollment.

The early fall…

  • You will receive your program supplies and your program guide.
  • Recruit volunteers. You will need 4-8 volunteers to setup, operate and pack up your shop.
  • Place Lil’ Shoppers Shop advertising posters in your school about 14-28 days before your event.
  • Send out the promotional flyers provided about 14 days before your first shopping day. Copy your sale date information and details onto the back of the free flyers that we provide.
  • Lil’ Shoppers Shop will ship your merchandise in accordance with your sale dates. There is no cost for shipping.

The week of your shop…

  • Set up your shop on the day before your start date.
  • Every item has a clearly identified “school cost”. This is the price you pay when you total your invoice. You   re-price the items based on your goals for the program. Most schools run the program more as a “service” to the children and less as a “fundraiser”. Either way, you decide all of your final selling prices to the children. We will give you an optional retail guideline for each item as a reference.
  • Your Master Inventory Sheets summarize your delivery. This easy-to-use system shows your opening inventory for each item. At the conclusion of your event you will need to record your remaining inventory and total your sales of each item. The Master Inventory Sheets are returned to Lil’ Shoppers Shop.
  • Children shop by class and your volunteers help the children in their selections (especially K- 2). Children receive merchandise and take gifts home with them. Lil’ Shoppers Shop provides free “gift wrap bags” for each gift purchased.
  • At the conclusion of your program count the remaining inventory and pack up your returns. Lil’ Shoppers Shop pays for return shipping.
  • Return your paperwork and payment to Lil’ Shoppers Shop.
